Junior Gonzales is the PI of a research group interested in solving human afflictions using synthesis, ion channels as biomarkers, nuclear imaging and animal models. The PI is a chemist and an imaging scientist trained in translational research with clarity to increase the number of under-represented scholars in the biomedical sciences. Junior joined the Chemistry Department of Cleveland State University (CSU) in 2022, He is also a member of the Center for Gene Regulation in Health and Disease (GRHD).

Hugo is a young scholar and imaging scientist from France, after obtaining his B.S. in Forensic Science from Tiffin University, Hugo transferred to a higher NCAA division. Hugo joined the Chemistry Department of Cleveland State University (CSU) in 2021 and discovered his interest in biomolecular imaging, pharmacology, and parasitology – He is now pursuing his doctorate degree in clinical bioanalytical chemistry at CSU, – where he is performing high multidisciplinary research with Dr. Junior Gonzales since 2022.
